Weekly Howl - Lenten Journey 2023

I am grateful for the opportunity to share this special edition of the Weekly Howl, highlighting our students' Lenten journey on our campus. It has been a wonderful season which our students have walked through with their teacher(s) and classmates, in preparation for the celebration of Christ's Death and Resurrection. From Ash Wednesday through today, I hope you will enjoy a glimpse of what the students have experienced during the season which draws us towards the light of Christ.

Spreading the message of love and hope during this Easter season......

The children have been learning the Easter story. Together they followed Jesus’ joyful welcome to Jerusalem through His death and resurrection. The students used watercolor to paint the sunset and darkening sky at the time of Jesus’ death. Then they used black paper to create the shadows of the 3 crosses.

The First graders learned about Holy Thursday. Mrs. Barbara Gloven led a special lesson with the class. She read the story of Jesus washing his disciples' feet and the Last Supper. She washed each child's foot. They also enjoyed eating food similar to the Last Supper.
