BOYS VOLLEYBALL SECOND IN STATE

Congratulations to the CHS Volleyball Team and Coach Bobby Robson for a terrific season! The Wolves went 31-5 for the season and lost a hard-fought match last Friday to take second in State. Thanks to all of the fans who came out to support the team. Great job, Wolves!

ACADEMIC CELEBRATIONS

CHS celebrated the academic achievements of hundreds of students last week. Department Award winners and freshmen, sophomores, and juniors in the top 5% were recognized on Tuesday night. Additionally, many soon-to-be graduates participated in Wednesday’s Senior Scholarship Night, where it was announced that the Class of 2017 had already earned well over $20 million in scholarship offers. Next, during Thursday’s lunchtime Academic Honors Celebrations, over 800 students with a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA and enrollment in honors classes received State 48 Academic t-shirts and treats. Finally, the Chandler Education Foundation celebrated CHS’s Impact Chandler Scholars on Thursday night. Congratulations to all of the students who earned awards last week!

ROBOWOLVES

Chandler High’s “Robowolves” and Orbital have a wonderful partnership. Orbital has been financially sponsoring the Robowolves for the FIRST Robotics competition ($5,000/year). They have also sent engineers and a wiring technician to help teach the kids. The Robowolves robot is wired similarly to the rockets they create. The mentors help with teaching the students AutoCAD, 3D printing, and mechanical design. Chandler High is proud of the continuing partnership and hopes to build upon the program in the coming years.
