Internship Luncheon

Hopewell And Bridgepoint Academies had 13 students participate and successfully complete the internship program last semester. Students worked on their employability skills, work ethic, and basic job skills. We partnered with Swanson Tools Inc., Hope's Kitchen, Habitat for Humanity, New Lenox Library, and the Assistive Technology Exchange Network. As an appreciation for their hard work and effort the Marshall Klein Foundation hosted a luncheon and awarded each student a $30 Amazon gift card.

Living on Minimum Wage Project

Students completed a living on minimum wage project. They researched and selected a location to live, determined utility prices, looked up insurance costs, and averaged monthly grocery bills.
