How To Get Your Kids to Listen

Having trouble getting your kids to do their work at home? Aren't we all! Remember that the 123 Magic Program, which all of your children are familiar with, works! The basic principle is counting.

If your child is doing something that you would like them to stop you say, "That's 1".

If the behavior continues you say, "That's 2."

If you get to 3 they get a 5 minute time out without toys or electronics.

The most important rules for parents to remember are there is no other talking/discussing/explaining and after the time out the child gets a fresh start.

Check out this quick video from Dr. Phelan the creator of the 123 Magic Program about how to introduce counting at home. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NLC87wGrlJQ or check out www.123magic.com for more tips.
