2021 Murphy PTO Scholarship Application
The Murphy Junior High PTO is pleased to announce the establishment of a scholarship fund for Oswego East High School seniors who attended Murphy Junior High. To be eligible, you must have completed your 8 th grade year at Murphy and be attending an accredited institution of higher learning. We will be awarding two $500 scholarships (one male/one female). You may use a second sheet of paper if needed.
2021-2022 Returning Student Registration
Please be sure to complete your registration if you are returning next school year.
If you are willing to donate any items to the Makerspace, we'd really appreciate it! Items such Legos, K'nex, small/medium covered storage bins, Play-doh, marbles, supplies for marble runs, etc. are a great start. We are open to ideas and any donated items that could make this space a great addition to our building.
Parent Drop-Off and Bus Lane Reminders
THANK YOU to those who are pulling forward! It's helping!
Please pull all the way forward near Door 1 to the "Student Drop-Off Here" sign when dropping off students so multiple students can be dropped off at the same time and to diminish the traffic in the parking lot and on the street. Please also remember to keep the cross walk and fire hydrant clear. Be mindful of others around you and stay in line. We understand that the line is long, as we have more pick-ups this year, but please follow these expectations in order to do our best to keep you and our students safe and the traffic moving.
Please remember that the bus lot is only for buses. All cars need to drive through the pick up line at the front of the building.
Attendance Line: 630-608-5101
8th Grade Promotion
All 8th grade students will be receiving an email with a questionnaire form to complete to add a personalized slide to the Promotion Night video and to the Murphy Facebook page. This information needs to be completed by Friday, May 7th at 4:00 pm.
The questionnaire asks for student name, where they're attending HS, their future goals, what they miss about in-person school, their favorite artist, and favorite activities. This will be sent to 8th grade students to complete from their district account. We are also asking what information they would like shared on the Murphy Facebook page and what information they would like shared on the Promotion Video. Parents- You are able to view the questionnaire from your 8th grade student's email account.
Because of our modified promotion, Murphy Junior High and the Murphy PTO have chosen to gift our 8th graders with a congratulatory yard sign...be on the lookout for these in May!

Oswego Public Library Digital Access
Click on the Documents below for more information and the Google Form to complete for access.
Want an Oswego Public Library Card?
The launch of our Ecard barcodes has gone so well! We’re now ready to start Phase 2 of our partnership, which is getting an actual physical card into the hands of every kid in SD308!
The Ecard barcode that you received from your school librarian will not allow you to check out actual physical materials, but...getting a card is easy!
Just visit either campus of the library and show them your driver’s license or state ID. This is all you need if your ID has your current address on it.
If your ID does not have your current address, then please bring one of the following items as proof of residency:
*Utility bill dated within 60 days (electronic version accepted)
*Rent receipt dated within 60 days
** Please note that handwritten letters will not be accepted as proof of residency.**
***IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are not a resident of the library district, but you are still a student in the 308 school district, you may still receive a STUDENT card (with an expiration date of June 1, 2021) which will allow you to check out up to 20 items at a time. Simply visit the circulation desk of either campus with a parent or guardian with an ID.***
Did you know that the public library has more than just books? Perhaps you’d like to listen to some new music, or watch a new movie? Maybe you’d like to start a book club with your friends or neighbors? Are you looking for STEAM activities to do with your children or your scout troop? The public library has everything you need!
We encourage you to explore the library website, or visit either campus in person, to learn more! Click on the link below to visit the website.
