Mrs. Greene's 3rd Grade
November 27, 2017
I LOVE My Class...Take 3!!
It was such a joy to see all of the grandparents and special people in Room 9! It is always one of my favorite days of the year!
When we return from Thanksgiving break we have four weeks of school left. It will be a fast and furious time as we wrap up several units of study! Since we are in school until December 22, I anticipate some of you leaving early. Please let me and the office know if you plan to leave early. You will need to fill out a pre-arranged absence form.
Don't forget about the Holiday Party that takes place Friday, December 22 from 1:30-2:30. Mrs. Feiock is our room parent. If you are interested in helping with the party, please contact her.
Here are my final thoughts about my wonderful students...
- Hazel has the kindest heart! She is writing her Information Writing book about her baby sister!
- Jack is one of those kids that constantly has a smile on his face. He is always on the lookout for fun and that fun spirt of his is contagious!
- Jasmitha is a serious student who perks up when she is working with me in a small group. Learning is very important to her!
- Ella is one of those students I can always count on to do the right thing. It is a pleasure to watch her during instruction...she soaks up every piece of information like a sponge!
- Saryu...have you seen her? She is just beautiful - not only on the outside, but she has a beautiful heart as well!
- Kaeleb is a determined, strong-willed student. If he wants something, he will go after it. This serves him well in many areas at school!
- Riya has such a sweet spirit about her. She is new to Carmel and has made many new friends! She is easy-going and fun to be around!
FYI...I have several (all-day) meetings in December. I will let you know the days I will be out of the classroom prior to my absence.
Don't forget to go through your child's DATA BINDER on Monday, November 27. There will be a Math test, Spelling test, and Reading test. Also, be sure to ask your child if he/she is keeping up with logging the books they are reading in their Reader's Notebook.
Did your child participate in the Thanksgiving Reading Challenge? If so, he/she is invited to have lunch in the classroom with me and classmates next Friday, December 1. I will provide a treat!
Looking forward to a GREAT week next week!
Enjoy your weekend...
