About the Training

UWB/CCC is proud to offer the Social Justice Advocacy Skills Training (SJAT) for students, faculty, and staff. Based on the work of Catholic Relief Services and developed by Just Associates, the Advocacy Skills Training helps participants develop a shared understanding of social justice advocacy, dynamics of political power, effective messaging, and organizing strategies and tactics.

SJAT is an interactive and hands-on opportunity to enhance advocacy skills through the use of case studies and group dialogue.

This training will be facilitated by Kelly Benkert, Assistant Director for Student Leadership in the Center for Service and Community Engagement at Seattle University.
