Mrs. Stevenson's Message
Dear Parents,
Thank you for the great attendance at the Veteran’s Day program. We feel so privileged to have the opportunity to honor our Veteran’s.
Amazingly, the holidays are upon us again. It feels as though this time of year comes so fast, turns our lives upside down, and it is over before we know it. I know it is sometimes hard to be fully present in the moment when we are overwhelmed by events, preparation and stressed about gift giving. Remember to try to slow down, simplify and enjoy the holidays with family and friends.
I look forward to seeing you at Breakfast with Santa, sponsored by the PTO, on Saturday December 9th.

Wonder By Lily Harbert
Many kids love movies, and lots of kids would LOVE to get to go to the movies during school hours. But no kid imagined that they would actually get to go. But some lucky ducks, aka the 5th graders, are going to the movies… during school hours! They are going to see Wonder in theaters! A lot of people are jealous, especially the fourth graders! I decided that I would interview two 5th graders! First I interviewed Braylon Chandler.
Q: Did you like Wonder?
A: Yeh.
Q: How many stars would you give it?
A: Five.
Q: Why?
A: Because, it was emotional, and how friends did not get along and you can you can see it without reading the book.

Next I did Ella Jacob. (FYI, a member of the Gator Gazette)
Q: Did you like Wonder?
A: Yes.
Q: How many stars would you give it?
A: Five.
Q: Why
A: Because it is an emotional movie, it’s happy and sad.
So from this I can see a new classic! Well that’s it Gators! Check in for the next issue of

Christmas Break by Morgan Case
On December 19, it will be the first day of Christmas break (for the students) and I’m here to tell you about some great things you can do over this great time of fun and family.
First off, if there’s snow you could go sledding, build a snowman, have a snowball fight, make a snow fort/ igloo, make snow angels,or one of my personal favorites you could just lay in the snow.
However, if there is no snow you could always stay inside and have a glass of warm delicious hot chocolate, go Christmas shopping, or bake some amazing Christmas cookies.
Something my mom and I always do is get our nails done in red, green, silver, or both!
Another fantastic activity for the whole family is snow tubing. It is so exciting to do.
I went snow tubing a few years ago and loved it! You go up to a big or small hill, get on your tube, and go down.
So as you can see there are many more activities than just the ones on my list to keep you entertained all break!
South Creek Holiday Program by Gianna Waterman
Hi Gators! Today I am here to tell you all about the 4th and 3rd graders holiday program! In December the 3rd and 4th graders are having a holiday program celebrating Christmas! I am here to talk to Mrs. Mappes to see what she planned for this program. She said that she is planning to do lots of choreography and dancing. She also said that she will not be singing herself this year, she will just be playing the piano and teaching kids the singing and dancing. In the holiday day program there will be a special guest speaker. I do not know who, so you will just have to wait and see. The main songs she is planning to sing are “Holiday Hoedown.” I hope you attend the holiday program for third and fourth grade. The third grade program is at 6:00 p.m and the fourth grade program is at 7:30 p.m. I hope you attend these 2 wonderful programs.
Get Ready for Cold Weather! by Abby Mikus
Get ready South Creek Elementary because it is so freezing cold! So make sure that you wear a coat and gloves and long pants. Teachers make sure you tell your kids how cold it is so they now how many layers to wear, because right now it is between 30-40 degrees. So far we had have a little visit from the sun. Mrs. Hayes suggests that students wear coats, gloves, and long pants. Let's hope that it snows and sticks because then we can maybe get a extra day of winter break. So make sure you are wearing warm winter clothes and drinking lots of cocoa to stay warm!
Holiday Parties by Kelsey
All the children at South Creek Elementary School have a school party to celebrate winter break and Christmas. They have games, crafts, and more to have fun before break. For this exciting topic I interviewed one of our wonderful second grade teachers Miss Moody.
First, I asked her about the crafts her class `
does. Sometimes she does crafts in her class
But sometimes she would rather stick to the
Activities. And her parties are usually about
half an hour.
Then, I asked her about who plans the
parties and the parents plan then before hand
All the parties need volunteers and about 8
parents volunteers year.
So, that is it. I hope all you South Creek
parents will chaparone a party.
South Creek Store by Addison
Greetings South Creek!. Today i’m talking about our new South Creek store. The South Creek store is a shop where all the students can buy prizes. Some of the prizes are erasers, slime, temporary tattoos, pencils, pens, bracelets, and glasses. How do you get prizes? When a student shows effort, generosity, respect, attitude, trustworthiness, or self control you earn a gator buck. Bye Gators!
