Siberian Lakes
Permafrost has taken over about half of the land in Russia. Global warming is taking over the permafrost and making it melt. From global warming methane which has a negative impact on the surrounding area is being released. Ways to prevent global warming are don't use cars because it releases gasses in the air. You can also plant plants they release new oxygen in the air. You can also save electricity by turning lights off.
Aral Sea
The Aral Sea is a saltwater lake that used to be the fourth largest lake in the world. It has been shrinking n size since around the 1960's. Pollution has been a big contribution to the Aral Sea shrinking. The Aral Sea used to be a water source for farmers to water their crops but is not to helpful anymore. Most parts of Russia is semiarid or arid which has little to no rainfall and doesn't help the Aral Sea grow back to normal size. People could help the shrinking of the Aral Sea by not smoking and not driving.

The Soviet Union
The Soviet Union is countries made up of Russia and Eurasian states from 1922 and 1991. The Soviet people from 1927 to 1953 went under command of Josef Stalin. The government owned most agriculture and businesses. On farms that the Soviet Union grew food to distribute also known as collective farms , the Soviet Union still had troubles feeding all of its people. The Soviet Union crashed in 1991 at the end of the Cold War.
