A Note from the Principal

Wow! What an amazing day for our school community. Everywhere I looked on Saturday, I saw nothing but happy and excited families.

At the end of the day, we raised the amazing amount of $16,636.

This could not have been possible without the very generous sponsorship of our local business’ and Community Groups. We rely heavily on our community to help us achieve our goals and we would like to thank the following businesses who generously supported our fete and the children of Healesville Primary School.

Healesville Toyota

High Edge Roofing

Bendigo Bank

McKenzies Tourist Services

Healesville Dental Clinic

Plastic Bag Free Healesville

Stevenson Construction

RP & BN Estcourt Earthmoving & Excavation

Barry Plant Real Estate – Healesville

Barclay Mitchell Cartage

Total Shutters

Ridgeline Glass

Healesville Directional Drilling

Fast Freddies Tyre Service

Healesville Community Markets

The Getaround Mini Bus

.. Plus many of our local small businesses

Please remember to support the businesses that support the local community.

I would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank our fete co-ordinator, Beck Collins, and her band of merry helpers – Debbie Watson, Minnell Longhurst, Lauren Boundy, Cheryle Carr, Jody Hodson, Shelly Beuttner, Kylie Short, Michael Collins, Tina Barclay (for her excellent BBQ skills) and many many more Parents and Grandparents who put their hand up to cook, clean, serve or pack away. Without people giving so generously of their time, community events such as the fete would not be possible. I know that our whole school community joins me in saying a huge and well deserved ‘Thank You’.

Pupil Free Day

A reminder that Monday 5 November is a pupil free day where the teachers will be participating in Cultural Understanding Safety Training.

Professional Learning Communities

Staff at Healesville Primary School have been working extremely hard over the past semester looking at student writing and how we can engage students to increase student outcomes. Staff have been looking deeply into student data to plan learning experiences targeted at each student’s point of learning. Students in collaboration with teachers then set their learning goals and work towards achieving them. Regular monitoring of student goals is done and goals are changed and adjusted to cater for student’s needs. If you have any questions regarding our targeted teaching approach please make a time to see your child’s teacher.
