Drug Addiction
His first experience with heroin happened sometime in 1986 but developed into an addiction in 1990. He first attempted rehab in 1992, not long after he discovered that he would be a father. Immediately after leaving rehab, Nirvana went on their Australian tour. He became pale and gaunt by suffering from with drawl. Not long after returning home, his addiction resumed.
Nirvana
Kurt was disenchanted because they couldn't get large enough crowds. During their first few years playing together, Novoselic and Kurt had a long list of drummers. Eventually, the band settled on Chad Channing. Nirvana recorded the album Bleach, with him. Kurt, however, did not like Channing's drumming style, leading the band to find a new drummer, and they eventually settled on Grohl. With Grohl, the band found their greatest success with him on their 1991 album, Nevermind.
