Principal's Message
Dear E.O. Green Parents and Guardians,
We are super proud of our teaching staff. Teachers continue to provide outstanding teaching and learning experiences to our HORNETS! They are dedicated professionals that devote significant amounts of time and effort to create engaging learning activities. The staff does a fantastic job enriching the minds of your child. The E.O. Green staff continues to provide academic and social-emotional supports for our HORNETS enrolled in the Hybrid and Hueneme at Home program.
We understand that this pandemic school year impacted us and caused many shifts in our day-to-day lives. Please remember that we are here to assist students academically and social-emotionally. Continue communicating your needs to our wonderful counselors, assistant principals, teachers, and with me, the school principal. The following lists the assistants' and counselors' grade-level assignments; contact information is below this message.
8th Grade: Assistant Principal Ms. Glover, 7th Grade: Assistant Principal Mr. Grange and 6th Grade: Assistant Principal Dr. Pacheco. The counselors are also supporting your student by grade level: Dr. Gomez 8th grade and Ms. Alvarez-Rice 6th and 7th grade.
On February 24, all 8th-grade students will have an opportunity to participate in the High School CTE -Career Technical Education- Road-Show to prepare to enroll in the high school. Please ensure your student is present.
Lastly, please help us continue encouraging your student to stay motivated and access free books online by visiting SORA. It is a magnificent place to find an array of book titles; we are confident your student will be able to find a reading topic of their interest. The E.O. Green staff appreciates your ongoing support. You can access SORA by clicking the link below.
Attentively,
Principal Melgoza-Vasquez
