VIRTUAL LEARNING
Starting Wednesday, November 11
Dear Parents and Guardians
As you are aware we will be shifting to virtual instruction starting tomorrow, November 11th through November 24th. As COVID - 19 continues to surge throughout our region, the number of students and staff that have been impacted by the virus has increased quickly, so it has become unsustainable for us to continue in-person instruction.
This means there will be ten virtual learning days leading up to the Thanksgiving break. We will continue to monitor the health and well-being, as best we can, for those in our district and community. Please continue to report attendance absences as you would normally do for in-person instruction as our offices will remain open during our virtual learning days. If the situation does not improve, a decision about the final three weeks of the semester (November 30 - December 18) will need to be made.
Teachers will be sending out specifics for your student’s schedule. Students are highly encouraged to meet during their classroom scheduled time for instruction from their classroom teacher. Attendance will be taken daily based on students engaging in Google Meets and work assigned.
We are very appreciative of our students, staff, and families for helping us stay in-person for the last 12 weeks. We look forward to the continued growth and learning over these next ten virtual days and look forward to seeing all of our students in-person on Monday, November 30. As a reminder, students are not in attendance on Wednesday, Nov. 25th through Friday, Nov. 27th. All of our actions during our virtual learning and non-attendance days will impact the district’s ability to return to our in-person and hybrid instructional models.
Sincerely,
Jackey
