Important Dates to Remember:

Friday, March 27th - March Madness Basketball Night sponsored by our PTA.

Monday and Tuesday, March 30-31st - 4th grade STAAR writing test. Our campus will be closed to visitors on these days.

What Are We Learning?

Reading: comparing and contrasting traditional and contemporary folktales.

Word Study: suffixes -ly, -less, -ful, and -ness.

Math: elapsed time, timelines.

Social Studies: westward expansion.

Writer's Workshop: continuing with persuasive writing.

Telling time using an analog clock is a challenging concept for many second graders. As we continue to focus on this skill at school, your support at home would be greatly appreciated! Use the website below to have your child practice telling time with online games. The last two links give you many ideas for free apps to add to your SMART device that focus on telling time. Why not help your child have fun while learning?
