Dear WES Families,
Beginning today, Sept. 16, families may change their student’s learning pathway using the learning pathway change form found in your Skyward Family Access account. If you do not intend to change your student's learning pathway, please disregard this email. You only need to access and submit this form if you are wanting to change your learning pathway for the 2nd 9-week grading period, which begins on Oct. 19. Your change must be made by Oct. 2, two weeks prior to the start of the 2nd 9 weeks. If you do not complete the form, your child will continue in their current learning pathway.
As a reminder, students in grades Pre-K-5 have two learning pathway choices. Learn more about each choice:
We understand these challenging circumstances are creating difficult decisions for our families. Our district and all Texas public schools are facing the same challenges and difficulties as we try to adapt a system designed for in-person instruction to meet the needs of in-person, virtual and virtual plus learners. Each LISD campus is working exceptionally hard to meet the many needs of our families, and despite the challenges, we are so proud to partner with you in the education of your children.
A common question we receive is about class sizes, and why in-person classes are not smaller due to some students learning virtually from home. While there may be a smaller number of students learning in person, there are also fewer in-person teachers. Consequently, in-person class sizes are expected to be about the same size as usual.

The next opportunity to change your student’s learning pathway (for the 3rd 9-week grading period) will be at the end of the 2nd 9-week grading period. The window for the 3rd 9 weeks change will open in late November. Changes outside of the established windows will not be made.
Thank you for your understanding,
We are ALL BETTER TOGETHER!

Virtual Learning Families - Please complete survey as your input is greatly appreciated!
Virtual Learning Families,
We appreciate your patience and support as we continue navigating the virtual learning pathway together. The district has created a survey for you to provide input as we look forward to the 2nd 9-weeks of school in virtual learning. Please note, you only need to complete the survey for each child you have in virtual learning. If you have multiple children in virtual learning, you will complete the survey separately for each child. Feel free to complete the survey with your child. You do not need to complete the survey for multiple teachers.
Use the link below to take a few minutes to provide your feedback. We thank you for your participation.
