Meet Your Teachers
Miss Johnson - This is my 2nd year at Bernotas, but the beginning of my 6th year in the teaching field. I'm so excited to be in the Adjusted Learning program this year. Most of my teaching experience is in a similiar type of program. I love the balance of functional skills, daily living skills, community based learning and academic skills. I graduated from Elmhurst College in 2013 with my Bachelor's in Special Education. In 2015, I graduated from the University of St. Francis with my Master's in Teaching and Learning with a concentration in English as a Second Language. I am currently working towards my second Master's in Applied Behavior Analysis. A little bit about me, I just bought my first house and I'm a crazy dog mom to a Doberman Golden Retriever named Maisley.
Classroom Update: For those of you who have not heard, Mrs. Matsie has taken a job with another district, but we are super excited about our new team! We are looking forward to an amazing school year!
As always, don't hesitate to reach out with any questions, comments, and concerns.
