A Message from the Principal
Hello Cougar Families!!!
I hope everyone has had a great weekend keeping dry and prepping for our first cold front. This week we want to thank our PTA for the personalized halloween baskets they prepared for our staff, filling our teacher snack station, and providing a hearty dinner for parent teacher conference night. If Geneva Heights doesn't have the best PTA and parental support, I would love to see what campus has a PTA as involved and giving as Geneva Heights. This week PTA plans are in place for providing Halloween treats for our Cougars during the annual Halloween Treats Trail. Cougars are encouraged to wear their favorite book character costume on Tuesday.
Our renovated campus is coming along on schedule. We are asking current families and future families to share the exciting plans for our renovated campus and have them fill our QR code survey indicating their interest in enrolling their future Cougars to Geneva Heights. DISD is in the midst of preparing budget and staffing allocations for the next school year and we want to make sure we attract the absolute best staff for the 24-25 school year. The intent survey is in our SMORE and there will be a banner posted at our renovated campus for families to log in the QR code and fill out the survey.
Finally, this week week we saw three busses serve our campus that alleviates the overcrowding and discomfort. For our families, I thank you for your patience while we worked with the District and encourage families to return to using our buses. We will start our clubs this Friday and clubs will occur during the school day. Let's have a great week!

Lunchroom Volunteers NEEDED,
The first step is to complete the DISD volunteer process @ https://Dallasisd.voly.org. Second choose the lunchroom opportunity that suits your availability. You may choose a 30-minute lunch period or choose to help with all the lunch periods. Finally, once you arrive at the school present your photo ID to Mrs. Rios and you’ll be off to help make the student’s lunch time efficient and enjoyable. Your support is always greatly appreciated.
Bus Update
We would like to thank all of our families for being so patient with our transportation issues. Last week, we had several top representatives of the transportation department, out to the school. Since then, we have consistently had 3 buses transporting students, in the mornings and afternoons. 2 buses go campus to campus and 1 neighborhood bus.
We would like to ask parents, (who have signed up their students, to ride the bus, from Delmar to the school), to please start sending your children, on the bus, in the mornings so we can avoid having buses being removed from our route.
A BIG Thanks!

We received more amazing snacks from Jason Spencer and Rich Cook! Thank you for keeping our wonderful teachers fueled. Your snacks put smiles on many faces!
