Message From The Principal
This year we begin with an enrollment just under 2,100 students. We have a faculty and staff comprised of 165 employees (125 teachers, 6 counselors, 6 administrators, 6 specialists, 22 and support staff.) Our campus includes 4 large buildings and stretches over a mile from the back of R Wing, off of Harris Street, to Bob Jones Stadium. It is probably an understatement to say it this plainly, but Fort Mill High School is big.
Despite the size of our school, our focus remains on the individual. We recognize that in education, as in life, it's all about relationships. The connection between our students and the caring adults they encounter each day at our school is critical to success. So while our school as a whole is large, when the bell rings and teachers close their doors, we try to foster a personal, close-knit feel that we believe is in our students' best interests. At our school, we subscribe to the district motto of "Children First, Every Day."
So whether our school size is 200 or 2,000, it is my sincere hope that our students are able to honestly say they are at a school that cares about them. That they can feel that their teachers are invested in their individual success and that they have adults in their building that they could approach about concerns and struggles.
Because...Together We Swarm!

FMHS Club Rush
To that end, our school hosted its annual Club Rush this past Thursday, September 5th. This is an event where club sponsors set up displays and engage students about their respective organizations in both the R Wing and Main Commons during FLEX to share information about our school's clubs and how to get involved. Whether its athletics, arts, or extracurriculars, we want our students to plug-in and get involved. Club Rush is our way to help make it easier for students to start that relationship with one of our more than 30 clubs.
PSAT & ASVAB Testing
On Wednesday, October 16th, we will administer the PSAT and ASVAB assessments to sophomores and juniors. All 10th grade students will take part in a free administration of the PSAT on October 16th.
