Walkthrough Wednesday
Thank you for participating Mrs. Brown and Mrs. Gonzalez!!! #GuzickWTW
As we continue on our quest to maintain our status as a High Performing Campus, a characteristic that was brought up several times during our professional development was the opportunity to observe and learn from our peers.
Walkthrough Wednesday is our first step to building a culture of learning from each other! Please cease the opportunity during your planning time to visit a peer's classroom, complete a Walkthrough Wednesday form, and leave it with your Walkthrough Wednesday observed teacher.
As an added fun touch, please take a selfie with your observed teacher and text the picture to me with the hashtag #GuzickWTW #ExcellenceInTeaching.
I am beyond excited to hear about how this experience enhanced your own instructional practices to benefit ALL Guzick Giants!
Grade Level DDI PLC Meetings - 9/11/18 during planning
We will continue our grade level PLC data driven instruction meetings on Tuesday, September 11, 2018. The meetings will take place in Room D106, 5 minutes after the start of your designated planning time. The focus of this week's meeting is to review and analyze B.O.Y. Data and other historical assessment data to help inform future instructional practices (tutoring groups, etc). The agenda for the meeting will be sent out by tomorrow. The CIC's will facilitate the meetings as I will be off campus at district principal's meeting during PLC's. Happy collaborating!
PBIS Reminders - 4th Minor Infraction/Office Referral
For students who are consistently not exhibiting H.E.A.R.T. by not following our Guzick Expectations, it is important that we are consistent with both rewards and consequences.
If a student receives three minor infractions, please complete that form, and then on the fourth infraction, complete the office referral form. We have both forms (front/back) in the front office if you need copies.
If the fourth infraction warrants an immediate administrative consequence, please call the front office for an administrator to retrieve the student. Otherwise, turn in the completed form to Mrs. Paz's black tray outside of her office and one of us will retrieve the student as soon as possible and provide the administrative consequence.
Consistency is the key to this process! Consistency across the campus! Although we provide consequences, everything is a learning process and we ALWAYS discipline with DIGNITY! We want our students to be better people as a result of our expectations for them.
REMINDER: Intervention After School Tutoring - Begins 9/17/18

We will be sharing tools to in PLC to help you determine your intervention groups and determine if students will benefit from after school intervention tutoring. Please mark your calendars if you would like to take advantage of this opportunity for your Guzick Giants!
Please review the Guzick Calendar for tutoring dates and submit your request for tutoring in Oracle. Once your request has been submitted, and approved by myself and Mrs. Casas, Mrs. Willis will provide you with the tutoring supplemental pay code.
