USDN Equity Diversity Inclusion Fellowship - Summer 2019
2019 fellowships will be offered with the City of Baltimore (MD), City of Cleveland (OH), City of Dubuque (IA), City of Fort Collins (CO), Iowa City (IA), City of Philadelphia (PA), and City of Vancouver (BC). These links contain more information on the scope of each available fellowship.
FELLOWSHIP HIGHLIGHTS:
- A living wage or higher for the fellowship location
- Full-time employment over the summer (12 weeks, start date TBD by host and fellows)
- The experience of working in a local government sustainability program on a well-defined project that advances a community’s sustainability and equity goals
- A project that is inclusive of underserved and under-represented communities and responsive to their needs and priorities
- Mentorship from Desiree Williams Rajee and participation in a national learning cohort of USDN EDI fellows.
- Access to all USDN member discussions and products
- Free attendance at the October 2019 USDN annual meeting (lodging, flight, meals, and the opportunity to meet with more than 200 sustainability professionals from across North America - expenses paid)
- Membership in an informal network of past and current EDI fellows
American Women’s History Initiative Summer Internship
This summer, be a part of a transformational experience that goes beyond just another internship. Through hands-on activities and original research, you will contribute to a national effort to share a diversity of women’s voices from the past and present. You will learn to use unique tools for civic engagement and representation in museum and other community spaces. You will develop familiarity and experience with museum practice and American women’s history.

City of Williamsburg Economic Development Internship
The Economic Development Office is now hiring a paid summer intern for the 2019 season to update the study that was created. Additionally, the position will require working with the Economic Development Specialist to update the City’s commercial vacancy webpage.

Requirements

Cascadia Consulting Group Paid Summer Internships
Founded in 1993, Cascadia works with public and private-sector clients to advance sustainability through recycling and materials management, climate change mitigation and adaptation, energy efficiency, and water and natural resources management.
