Weekly EGE Notes
Good afternoon EGE!
This is the last full day of school for this year and the last full day with students for me.
Yesterday was so special as the children and staff sang a song for me at the end of my last Roadrunner assembly. I know I have mentioned it before, but this has been the greatest 15 years in my educational career. East Goshen Elementary (EGE) is a special place, full of wonderful children, amazing teachers/staff and incredible parents. It has been my honor to serve all of you each day. This week has, and will continue to be, very emotional for me. I sincerely love(d) being the Principal of EGE and I will miss you all. This is truly a family and one that I will never fully leave. This family is built by all of you and I trust that all of you will make sure that EGE stays a strong family for years to come!
Take time each day to tell the people in your family that you LOVE them. Sometimes that is with words, but most of the time it is with your actions - the smile, the hug, the wink of an eye, reading with them, playing with them or just sitting around the kitchen table talking about their lives! Family first!
Thanks for being part of my Family!
Make it a great LIFE!

LAPS FOR LUCAS
Thanks to the whole EGE community for the support of the walk this year for Mr. Lucas. Wow, the top two classes were SO close, separated by only $13! Mrs. Doorley's class won the pizza party and Miss Haugh's close 2nd class won an ice cream party. Thanks again for showing up and helping those in need right our in our EGE family/community.

HSA News and Information
From the HSA … DUNK TANK SUCCESS
Thanks to all the volunteers, teachers and staff who helped us raise $563.50 to help send some of our students to East Goshen Rec Camp! Special shout out to our Dunkees: Mr. Pursell, Mrs. Parkinson, Ms. Carter, Mrs. Collins and, of course, Mr. Brown!
GARDEN UPDATES
We need families to stop by the garden over the summer to fill the bird feeders, water plants, and to make sure the courtyard is in tip top shape. The building will be open during the week, so you will be able to access the garden from the front door. If you sign up for a week over the summer, we envision you having to stop by two or three times during your week and spending 15-30 minutes per visit. Please sign up HERE!

5th GRADE YEARBOOK
As a gift from the HSA, each 5th grader will receive a keepsake yearbook covering their full EGE journey-- from kindergarten through 5th grade ropes course! The yearbook deadline was extended to permit including these May/June memories, and yearbooks will be mailed to homes directly from the publisher after printing. Children will sign cardstock autograph pages in school that can be added to the inside book cover. If the address on file for your child requires updating, please reach out to the office at your earliest convenience. If July ends and your child did not receive their yearbook, please contact the office to resolve any issues.
