February 15-19

Reading

We will continue discussing main idea. We will also be focusing on the -oo sound, as in "foot", as well as continuing to review the long u sound spelled oo, ew, _ue, u_e. Please continue to practice sight words. I will assess every week.

Math

This week we will introduce graphing. We will be focusing on collecting, sorting and organizing data. We will also continue learning about place value (tens and ones).

Science

We will conclude our study of mammals by writing a "What am I" riddle. We will begin a new unit on amphibians.
