Happy Holidays!
Semester Exams started today, and I was really proud of the effort from our students.
I've explained this to many students, but remember that when we return from Christmas Break, it will still be the first semester. The first semester ends on January 11th, and second semester will start on January 14th.
We are going to be a little festive next week! Students are allowed to wear the following:
Monday - Ugly Sweater Day
Tuesday - Christmas Movie Shirt/Christmas Sock Day
Wednesday - Santa Hat day
Also - we love cookies! Don't forget about the PTO Christmas Cookies for teachers! If you would like to sign up to give teachers cookies, follow this link.

Peer Editing
I was walking down the hall and I heard these two students discussing word choice. I asked them what they were doing and they were reviewing each others English essay and providing feedback. The conversation between these two was awesome.

Boys Basketball Hosts Florence
This week the 7th grade A and B teams played at home in a Monday night double win event. The 7th grade B team started things off hot with an amazing win over the Florence Buffaloes 30 to 0. I would say there was no true player of the game because all of the Vikings made it into the scorebook Monday night. It was a true team effort. The team also had a total of 19 steals - great job on defense.
To conclude our double featue, the 7th grade A team won in the same fashion in a 31 to 14 win over the Buffaloes. Leading scorers were Gavin Smith and Decker Sims. The leading rebounders were Ben Wilder and Caden Nichols. This was the 7th grade A first win of many this season to come. Great job by both teams.
The 8th grade A team continued its winning streak this past Monday with a big win over Florence. The Vikings defeated the Buffaloes 44-15.
Bowen Stobb led the team in scoring with 14 points. Nick Bandow had 10 points and Jordan Johnston had 9 points to help lead the team to victory.
Top defensive players in Monday nights game were Jonathan Vera and Gage Mayhew.
The 8th grade B team lost a one point game to the Buffaloes 22-23.
Jeremiah Billings and Eli Simons led the team in scoring. Billings scored 6 point and Simons had 4 points.
Defensive standouts were Levi Klusmeyer and Carson Dohm.
