Principals Desk
As we approach our final week of the year, I consider all that has occurred over the past year. A year ago we were on an adaptive pause, teaching once again remotely. This year we have been fortunate to welcome all of our students back and we have sustained school as regularly as we are able to while continuing to be cautious and careful.
This past week our students all took the iReady diagnostic test. In reviewing preliminary data I couldn't be more proud of the hard work of our staff. Everyone has pulled together to teach and support all of our students. Our Lincoln students continue to show flexibility, hard work, problem solving and perseverance. Thank you for all of your care and support this past year.
This final week our student council has decided to sponsor a spirit week, each day has a theme. Please support your son in daughter to participate in this fun final week. Classes will wrap up the week Friday with their class parties. Room parents are planning a fun afternoon, and each class is limited to only 3 adults who need to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test. These protocols are included below.
LOST AND FOUND
This is just a reminder to label all of your children’s belongings (hoodies, coats, water bottles, lunch boxes, etc). We have already had some items turned into the Lost & Found with no names on them. If these items are labeled, we can bring them back to your student’s class.
Virtual Book Fair
Our Virtual Book Fair is in full swing! If you would like to order, please do so online at abcfairs.com no later than Dec. 13. Books will be delivered to school on Dec. 16 unless you select shipping or a different pickup location when you order. If you would like to purchase a book to donate, visit the teacher wish lists. All proceeds support our Lincoln LRC. Thank you for supporting literacy at Lincoln! For more information, click here.

Many former D303 substitutes have gone on to become district employees.

Lincoln Elementary is creating online student art portfolios on Artsonia.com. Artsonia manages student art portfolios in a safe and educational manner, developing students' pride and self-esteem and involving parents and relatives in arts education. Your child needs your permission to create a digital portfolio of their artwork.
Parents/guardians who are new to Artsonia.com can find the Parent Code on the permission form that will be sent home with each student.
Artwork will be added during the remainder of the year for families to enjoy.
Please feel free to reach out to Lincoln's art teacher Mrs. Watts at
christine.watts@d303.org if you have any questions.
Art Volunteers In The Classroom (AVIC) is back!
Art Volunteers In The Classroom (AVIC) is back!
Do you want to volunteer for the Lincoln PTO but have limited time?
AVIC might be your answer!
Need volunteers for PMK, Ms. Klotz and Ms. McConkey's classroom-
Get creative in the classroom! Once a month, share art through presentations and art projects. There are framed prints hanging in the halls for your inspiration. Each print has a resource packet full of information and ideas for lessons and art projects.
Volunteer for your child's class! The students love the fun and educational presentations. We need 2-4 volunteers to share the responsibility in each classroom. If no one volunteers for your child's class, think of what they'll be missing!
