Valentines Parties

Valentines Parties and Student Birthday Treats will be held tomorrow on Feb. 12th. You should have received your party time from your classroom teacher, but if you are unaware of your time- please call the school office at (501) 743-3566.

One School, One Book

We have kicked off our One School, One Book program this morning. I waited to send the newsletter until today, because I wanted to add information about our program.

The kids are very excited about the new book that they are going to bring home! Your student has a yellow reading map that they can follow to help you with a time line for reading. Please sign each box for your child as you read so that they can turn it in at the end of our program. Students whose yellow map is turned in, will be put in a drawing for a new bike!

We will also have daily trivia questions. Students who answer the question correctly will be entered into a drawing for a chance to ride bikes in the school! Students will be allowed to make a lap around the center of the building. If you have a little one, don't worry! We have bikes and trikes of every size.

You will also receive a letter that explains the One School, One Book program in detail. Our objective is to encourage dialogue about literature between adults and children.

We love the book Runaway Ralph and we hope you do too!

Presidents Day

We will have school on Presidents Day. It was designated as a snow make up day on the school calendar.

Make plans to be at WS on 2-15-16.

Adventure Club started back this week. It has been a great week so far.

Club days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday is each week. Our last session is February 25th.

Lunch Charges in Cafeteria

Please help us by keeping your lunch accounts current. You can always bring money personally or send it with your student. Please place it in an envelope marked clearly with your student's name and their teacher's name.

You can also take advantage of the options to prepay your student's meal accounts. Prepaid meal accounts gives you the peace of mind of not having to worry about looking for lunch money every day or worry that it might get lost, stolen or used for other things other than lunch.
