News from School to Home
One School, One Book
The kids are very excited about the new book that they are going to bring home! Your student has a yellow reading map that they can follow to help you with a time line for reading. Please sign each box for your child as you read so that they can turn it in at the end of our program. Students whose yellow map is turned in, will be put in a drawing for a new bike!
We will also have daily trivia questions. Students who answer the question correctly will be entered into a drawing for a chance to ride bikes in the school! Students will be allowed to make a lap around the center of the building. If you have a little one, don't worry! We have bikes and trikes of every size.
You will also receive a letter that explains the One School, One Book program in detail. Our objective is to encourage dialogue about literature between adults and children.
We love the book Runaway Ralph and we hope you do too!
Going over the reading map! Every student was excited about the opportunity to win a NEW BIKE!
Mrs. Atherton showing the students live footage of Ralph the Mouse riding up to our school.
Ralph rode a real motorcycle in the school. They were SO excited!
