Elementary Principal's Welcome!
Wranglers Back to School -- August 2020
Hello, Wrangler Families!
It's almost time!!!! First, a big, warm, Wrangler welcome to all of our new families that will be joining our Wrangler community! We are so glad you're here! For our returning families, I hope by now you have received your welcome materials in the mail - including a letter from me, one from your child's classroom teachers, Nurse Post, and the 2020-21 school calendar. I wanted to share a few items of interest in this newsletter that I am certain will be helpful in further preparing for this school year! In this newsletter, you will find:
- introduction of our new staff members
- health information from Nurse Post
- links to our Virtual Open House -- meet your teachers!!!!
- arrival and dismissal details
- and other opening logistics!
I would like to share a couple of quick Wrangler shout-outs! Our custodial crew (Stacie, Pam, Bonnie, Tyler, Tennell, & Tasha) have worked incredibly hard this summer in readying our building and grounds to welcome staff and students back and it is sPaRkLiNg!!! Their care, concern, and commitment to excellence in all they do is a gift and is appreciated greatly! In addition, our Maintenance Director, Bo Kasper, our Nurse, Donna Post, and Superintendent Thoren have taken on many additional responsibilities to help ensure the safety of our facilities and wellness of our staff and students as we return to school and we are grateful for their time, efforts, guidance, and all of the extra hours put in this summer in support of our safe return to school! Thank you!!! Also a shout-out to the many extraordinary teachers and staff members that worked throughout the summer to make our summer programming possible and successful!!
As we navigate these unfamiliar times together, I want to thank each of our Wrangler families for your continued support in the education of our children. It is an honor to get to do this important work side by side with you. Our staff is extremely proud of our Wrangler students and families and we look forward to continuing the tradition of excellence at Shoshoni Schools! We are Wrangler strong!!
Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. I am so excited and so ready to get our year started! Remember, if you participated in our summer reading challenge and/or did any work in you summer activity packet, please return your log/packet when you come back to school.
See you soon!!
Please Welcome Our New Wrangler Staff!

Next, Mrs. Brown comes to us from Riverton and she will be teaching 6th grade! She is formerly Miss Fustos; she got married this summer!
And finally, Ronja Ingalls will be our joining our staff as our new Preschool paraprofessional! She lives in Missouri Valley and her children attend Shoshoni Elementary.
- Letter from Nurse Post regarding student illness protocol (also sent in the mail)
- What to expect if a student or staff member tests positive for COVID-19 (from the WY Department of Health)
Important Details for Back to School!
For the safety of our children and staff, we are minimizing the opportunity for the spread of the virus by not allowing visitors past our front entry.
Due to the temperature checks that are required prior to boarding the bus or entering the school, we will have separate entrances for those that have had a temp check and are arriving via school transportation, and those that will need a temp check prior to entering the building.
Students arriving by bus, look for this sign on the main Elementary entrance, this is where you will enter school:
