Parents and Guardians
If you have not filled out and returned the BASC 3 assessment please do so and return it as soon as possible. The Behavior Assessment System for Children (BASC) is used to monitor changes in children's behavior or emotional status. We utilize this assessment to better understand the student's emotional state and better support their mental health. If you need an additional copy please contact Hopewell Academy.
This quarter, students participated in yoga classes. Yoga can improve balance, flexibility, range of motion, and strength. It can also enhance mental health. Studies have shown that in addition to physical benefits, yoga can also reduce stress, ease anxiety, improve sleep and promote other healthy habits.
Life After Bridgepoint
Transition students are being introduced to community resources that they can utilize for health and well-being, behavioral health, social outings and employment. They recently visited Trinity Services and Cornerstone which provide support to children and adults who have been diagnosed with a developmental disability and/or mental illness. Bridgepoint encourages students to become familiar with community resources to provide the linkage for life after transition.
