Area 31 Newsletter

Dear Area 31 Entrepreneurs and Friends,
Area 31 brings for you another week full of exciting events. On Tuesday, we are holding an information session on Helix - Social Impact Project. If you are an IMBA student looking for an impact Project as final graduation project, this session is for you! Later during the day, we are hosting a workshop to understand the emotional rollercoaster that an entrepreneur goes through in The Awakened Entrepreneur by Juan Antonio Marco, a professional trained on Mindfulness practice. On Wednesday, we have organized a Brown Bag lunch Gathering for researchers in Social Innovation and on Thursday, we hold the last Monthly Gathering for the Startups in the Incubator of the Area 31 before we break for summer!
From our opportunities section this week, check out Siemens Days! If you have disruptive ideas that have greater strength and accelerate the development of new technologies. Don't miss the chance to apply to the 1Bn€ fund competition! (That's right, one billion, with a 'B') and in our Blog section this week, we introduce you to Milingual! They give you the opportunity to live the language in your own city!

The Awakened Entrepreneur: Mindfulness Practices for the Lean Entrepreneur
Date: Tuesday, July 19th
Time: 19:00 - 21:00
Location: Area 31, The Garden
Please note, This session will be in Spanish
Often the entrepreneur’s journey is compared with a 'roller coaster'. The ups and downs of mood come almost in a daily basis when you start your company. Truth is that as Lean Entrepreneurs we know dozens of techniques to advance our project, but very few or none to handle confusion, loneliness, fear or anger sabotaging us from within ... and it is difficult learn more, faster, if our mind is not ready to do so. This workshop is an “emotional first aid kit“ to be used when things get tough (and they will, because they always do). We have the invaluable assistance of Juan Antonio Marco, a professional trained on Mindfulness practice in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
