PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES
We had some difficulties with the online sign-up form; however, this form has been fixed. As a result, we are extending the deadline to sign up for conferences until 9:00 a.m. on December 5th. If you have an issue with the online form, then please contact the main office at 508-252-5080.
On Wednesday, December 7, 2022 and Thursday, December 8, 2022, Beckwith Middle School will be holding in-person parent-teacher conferences.
The session times are as follows:
Wednesday, December 7- 5:30pm-8:00pm
Thursday, December 8- 12:30pm-2:45pm
(Please note that students will be dismissed at 11:45 a.m. on December 8 due to afternoon parent/teacher conferences).
Our format for arranging parent-teacher conferences is an online system. Please use the link below to schedule your parent-teacher conference time.
Each teacher has a link with scheduled time slots. Accessing this link will allow you to schedule a time for that individual teacher only. Please enter your child's name in the box designated Student Name and then select a time for a parent-teacher conference. Select only one spot. If a mistake is made, please do not schedule an additional conference, rather call the main office (508-252-5080). Also, please make certain to write down the date and time of the selected conference before submitting.
HONOR ROLL
STUDENT COUNCIL
Please note that the Student Council will meet on Tuesday, December 6th in room 217 until 3:30 p.m.
STEM CLUB
The STEM Club will hold a 2nd introductory meeting on Wednesday 12/7/22 until 3:30 pm in the STEM Room. Our first meeting was scheduled at the same time as other school events, most notably a full band practice, and some students with an interest in learning more were unable to attend that session.
Invention Convention Worldwide teaches students problem-identification, problem-solving, entrepreneurship and creativity skills and builds confidence in invention, innovation and entrepreneurship for life. Students will compete in a local event with the top participant(s) competing at the Massachusetts State Championship and a possible invitation to the national tournament. If you are interested but know that you can not make this meeting please see Mr. Kenny before Wednesday.
CHROMEBOOK REMINDER
ABSENCE PROCEDURE
Also, please note that "Absences shall be considered excessive when students accumulate more than seven (7) full day unexcused absences or fourteen (14) half-day unexcused absences in a period of six (6) months. Students with excessive absences may be considered habitually truant." For more information about attendance and excessive absences, please see page 13 and 14 of the Student Handbook.

BECKWITH BOOK FAIR - DECEMBER 5-9
Parents and Families:
Get ready! The Scholastic Book Fair is coming our way (YAY!). Choosing their own books empowers kids and inspires them to become bolder, prouder, and stronger Readers, and, as always, every book they buy earns rewards for our school.
Here’s what you need to know about the Fair, which will take place from DECEMBER 5th
through DECEMBER 9th. Students will have the opportunity to shop the Book Fair during their
school day. There will be several opportunities for families to shop together: during the
Rehoboth PTSA Craft Fair Friday, December 2nd 5-8pm and Saturday, December 3rd 10-3, as well as during Parent-Teacher Conferences on Wednesday, December 7th 5:30-8pm and Thursday, December 8th 12:30-2:30.
This year, say goodbye to cash and hello to eWallet—your child’s digital payment account.
Before the Fair, set up eWallet for worry-free, cash-free purchases. Anyone can contribute!
Share each child’s eWallet so friends and family can add funds and give your kids more books to enjoy.
If you can’t make it to the Fair, then shop at our school’s Online Book Fair. All orders ship
directly to your home, and shipping is free for book orders over $25. Your online orders will also benefit our school.

DECEMBER LUNCH MENU
Please remind your children that BREAKFAST is also FREE!
They can grab a breakfast on their way to homeroom!
MYSCHOOLBUCKS INFORMATION
Account payments can be made through MySchoolBucks.com using a debit/credit card or checks at all cafeteria registers. Please make checks payable to “Dighton Rehoboth Regional School District” and include your student’s full name in the memo line.
School meals, both breakfast and lunch, are once again free (see below); however, all students must use the point of sale system to obtain a free lunch. Please encourage your child to remember their lunch pin number because it helps to move along the lunch lines. If a student forgets their pin, then the cafeteria workers need to look it up and this stalls the lunch line.
Students will need to pay for snacks not included with the free meal and this is the reason why a parent would want to put money on their child's account.
