Abraham Lincon
View On Secession
Lincoln Opposed Secession Claiming That...
1. Physically the states cannot separate.
2. Secession is unlawful.
3. A government that allows secession will disintegrate into anarchy.
4. That Americans are not enemies, but friends.
5. Secession would destroy the world's only existing democracy, and prove for all time, to future Americans and to the world, that a government of the people cannot survive.
Summary (If Not Elected)
For us Abraham Lincoln was elected. So we'll act as Lincoln wasn't elected. If Lincoln wasn't elected we feel as that slavery could as well have still be here to this day. Lincoln was a main part to the secession of slavery, and it could as very well be slavery could still be here today if Lincoln wasn't elected.
