Meet the Masters: Joan Miro
Thank you to PTA for funding our engaging Meet at the Masters art program. The students loved their first experience of the year and can’t wait to see who our next new artist will be.
Playground Equipment
Each grade has their own equipment this year which includes bouncy balls, hula hoops, jump ropes, soccer balls, basketballs, and arts and crafts. Thank you to our PTA for donating this incredible equipment to our students. Because of your generosity our students have more equipment and opportunities for play on the playground than ever before.
Arroyo Teachers Learning and Growing
Carl Anderson rights: conferring is not the icing on the cake; it is the cake. Conferring truly is the sweet spot of all that we do. All Arroyo teachers are participating in monthly Lab Days this year, which are targeted toward our schoolwide Signature Practices: Reading Workshop, Writing Workshop, Cognitively Guided Instruction in Math (CGI) and Science (Next Generation Science Standards-NGSS). Like students, it is very important that the teachers continue to learn and grow each and every day.

We appreciate our Arroyo parents funding our Fit Tuesday PE program, which affords teachers the release time needed to engage in weekly PLCs. Thank you!
Lending Library and Intervention Teachers
The Lending Library supports our teachers with providing ROBUST classroom libraries as students move through the many different reading levels throughout the year. Thank you to our PTA for funding this important project.
We are very fortunate to have an outstanding team of Reading Intervention Teachers, again, funded entirely by our generous Arroyo PTA.
THANK YOU for supporting our emerging and accomplished readers, parents!
Social-Emotional Learning Coach
Meet Mrs. Kirkman! We are so pleased to have her support this school year! Mrs. Kirkman supports students 5 days a week for 3.5 hours a day running social skills groups, checking in with students per parents' requests, reading character development books to classes and much more! She is our primary resources for the implementation of our Zones of Regulation and Social Thinking Skills.
We are BEYOND grateful to our Arroyo PTA for funding this very relevant and needed position.
