Term 3 Week 10
Kia ora
What a beautiful sunny day we had today for Enviro Day. We hope to do some more planting of seeds and seedlings later this week too. We are also looking forward to our whole school PB4L reward on Thursday afternoon - Science fun for all.
Health Education
Due to many changes to the timetable, and staff absences, we have postponed the majority of our Health Education programme until next term. This newsletter will notify you of the topics to be covered each week. On Thursday this week we will cover the session detailed previously looking at how we have changed from a baby until now, and the things we were able to do as a baby and what we are able to do now. Thank you for all the photos that you have shared of your children as babies and toddlers - we are looking forward to using them in Thursday's session.

Lost Property
On Thursday and Friday afternoons we will lay out all of the lost property for the children and yourselves to view, with the hope that much of it finds its correct home. Each team has its own lost property bin so if you know of an item of lost clothing, please let us know so that all of the bins can be searched in advance.
Hats, sunblock and water bottles.
Looking ahead to the warmer weather, please remember to apply sunblock to your child before school. We have bottles of sunblock in class for the children to apply before lunch time. Alternatively, you are welcome to send your own sunblock with your child if you prefer. Please name this clearly.
We ensure that the children drink water throughout the day, every day. Please make sure that your child has a named water bottle with them every day. Thank you.
Spare Clothes
We do keep a supply of spare clothes at school in case of emergencies, and would be happy to receive any donations of clothing to add to this supply.
If you have any items at home that your child has borrowed from school, please return it by Friday so that we can check what we have and if we need to source any items. Thank you.
Mobility Parking Space
Unless you hold a mobility parking permit please do not park in our disabled parking space. This space is needed multiple times each day by at least one of our families and vehicles not displaying a mobility parking permit have been preventing them from accessing it. Thank you.
Daily reminders
- Classrooms open at 8:30am. Prior to this teachers may be in meetings or busy preparing for the day and are not available to supervise the children.
- Please provide a change of clothes in your child's bag. It's also helpful to have a warm jersey and a raincoat even if the weather seems warm and dry in the morning.
- Please check your child's school bag each day - they may have a new reading book in their book bag, a notice, or have some of their wonderful creations to share. Wet/dirty clothes might be a possibility too!
- Please send your child with a water bottle every day.
Please do not hesitate to get in touch with any queries.
We would like to wish you all a very happy mid term break. Fingers crossed that the sun shines for most of it!
