Memorial Day Weekend
In a very early edition of the school calendar, it was marked that Friday May 26th has a 12:30 dismissal. That was a mistake. There is a Full Day of School on May 26th, 2023.
This change was highlighted when the correction was made, we just want to remind just in case the old calendar is still out there and being used.
FALL 2023 SOCCER SIGN UP
If you are interested in your child playing fall soccer MQSCA please click here & fill out the form. This will be for grades K5 through 8th grade. Practices will start in late August and games will start after Labor Day and will be played at St. John the Evangelist on 84th and Cold Spring Roads.
We are always looking for coaches, parents that volunteer to be a head coach, will receive credit for a future sport for their child of their choice.
FALL 2023 VOLLEYBALL
If your son or daughter is interested in playing volleyball in the fall please click here & fill out the form. Practices will start near the middle to end of August with games starting after Labor Day. If we do not have enough players to form a team from MQSCA we may merge with another school like St. Matthias, St. Greg's, St. Roman's, or St. John the Evangelist.
We are always looking for coaches, parents that volunteer to be a head coach, will receive credit for a future sport for their child of their choice.

Drop off and Breakfast Procedures
Moving forward, breakfast and drinks (not including water bottles) will need to be consumed before leaving the breakfast eating area. We are seeing an uptick of coffee or sugary drinks being brought into the school and going to the areas where homerooms gather. Students who are bringing drinks not in a water bottle will be asked to stay in the breakfast area until the drink is finished. All unfished drinks will be asked to be dumped out before going to the classroom. In addition, students that take a breakfast will be required to eat the breakfast during the breakfast time in the hall, no food will be allowed to go into the classroom from breakfast.
This change is the result of drinks and food messes in the hall, and during the transition from the hall to the classrooms. We have gym classes that start right at 8:00am. We do not have lot of resources to clean up on time.

MESSAGE FROM MS. SATCHELL FOR THE SPRING SHOW:
Good morning and happy Friday. This is a friendly reminder to send in your family pictures for our special song in the Spring Show, "The Great American Melting Pot". You can send it through ClassDojo, email me at satchella@mqscateacher.org, or have your students bring one in for me to copy. If a family picture is not your thing, you could also send me a picture of a place or event that is meaningful for your family. For instance, my ancestors were from Scotland, so I might use a picture of the Scottish flag, or our family crest. Thanks again! I can’t wait for you to see the final film on May 31st.
Volunteers for Field Day Friday, June 2nd.
We are looking for volunteers for the MQSCA Field Day on June 2nd and will be sending out a sign up genius with in the next few weeks. This is a reminder to mark your calendars, take off of work, and make sure you have the Safe Environment Training completed. No parents, grandparents, friends, family members(18 or over), etc. will be able to help unless they have completed the coarse. New this year, if you have taken Safe Environment Training 5 or more years ago, you must recertify. I ask that all volunteers double just your status now. We always have the Safe Environment training in the Odyssey, please scroll down to the bottom. Note: This is mandatory by the Archdiocese of Milwaukee and the U.S. Congress of Bishops, no employee of MQSCA or Seton is willing to be fired to let you help "for a bit" or "this one time"!

Due to staffing shortages, and the end of the school year responsibilities of teachers, the last day of after school camp will be May 30th. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause families. Unfortunately with it being the end of the school year, we are finding it tough to hire a person for afterschool camp.

Safe Enviroment Training
In order to be involved in any school activities, including chaperoning a field trip, coaching a sport, or volunteering in a classroom, you have to be safe environment trained. Below is the link to register for a training. No exceptions will be made, it is an archdiocesan mandate. If you plan to volunteer now, or in the future in any way, you MUST have attended a safe environment training. Please reach out to Bryanna Hill if you have questions about safe environment training, if you need to be trained, or if a new background check needs to be conducted. If you think you have been in safe environment training in the past, but are unsure, please double check.
