Year 1 Visit Stockbridge
Year 4 Selby Sings
Having got the concert bug, Year Four continued their stardom by joining nine other schools in celebrating 950 years since Selby Abbey’s foundering. Before this concert, the children had four sessions with ‘Sam the Nice Man’ where they not only wrote one of the songs but also composed the music. The children enjoyed learning about the history of the abbey through these unusual compositions. Thank you for those who came to support and well done Year 4!
Golf & Cricket
On Monday 8th July all children in years 1 to 5 will be taking part in a golf session. In addition to this children in years 3, 4 & 5 will be taking part in a cricket session on Wednesday. Both cricket and golf will be lead by a specialist coach.
Please make sure that all PE kits are in school for these exciting activities.
Reading books
Please, can all reading books be returned to school next week so that we can do an audit of all the books we have. Also please can all blue reading records be in school next week so that they can be passed to next year’s class teacher?
We would be really grateful if you could check bookshelves and your children’s bedrooms for any books that have been lost/left at home over the year.
