Parent-Teacher Fellowship TONIGHT
Harvest Weekend Begins Tomorrow!
Harvest Weekend is here, with multiple activities for current and alumni students, families, faculty, and staff to enjoy!
Coffee Connect is a come-and-go for alumni students and alumni/current families, faculty, and staff as well!
The CFS Soccer Tournament is Friday and Saturday at Cosmo Park. The first game is during school at 11am; if we win we play at 7:10pm, if we lose we play at 6:00pm. See the tournament chart in *Athletics* below. Everyone is invited to the evening game, so bring your chair and loud voice to cheer our guys!
The Tailgate is 5:30-7:00pm, so we're counting on our guys to win! Come to Cosmo Park for food, drinks, and hanging out together! *Bring camping chairs or blankets to sit!
The Harvest Festival is Saturday, 6:30-8:30pm at the school gym. Bring your favorite fall snack or dessert to share as current and alumni families, students, faculty, and staff party it up with food, games, booths, and square dancing!
We are still in need of volunteers for a few things like: pick-up preordered food for the tailgate; tailgate host/hostess; and festival cleanup. Go to this sign-up to see where you can help out!

Spring Electives
We have two new electives this spring! Below are the course descriptions. Click here to view the schedule. You may add these courses on your spring registration form that you will receive tonight at the Parent-Teacher Fellowship.
Creative Communications: 6th hour
Grades: 7-12 (will generate high school credit for grades 9-12)
In Creative Communications, students will express themselves in various ways. This will involve creating: commercials; imaginative presentations; writing comic strips, poetry, or short stories; mini speeches: casual, persuasive, and informative; as well as an added component of artistic projects utilizing the organization of information through technology.
Intro to Debate: 4th hour
Grades: 7-8
Should people be able to obscure their identities online? Should what you say on social media: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram be grounds for getting expelled from school? Do we still need libraries? If the lyrics of a song are immoral but the instrumentation/music is outstanding, should we listen? These are questions we all face. Where do you land? Why? Why not? We will explore what holding a position means and practice the skill of providing intellectually honest premises/reasons for or against the position in Intro to Debate.
PSAT
If your student has registered for the PSAT on Wednesday, October 11th, please notify the office and your student's teachers of this expected absence. Please remember ALL students will need a picture ID the day of PSAT testing.
Dual Credit
A MACC rep will be on campus Friday, October 6th at 9:45 (during class meetings) to enroll our dual credit Anatomy students. Paper work and instructions have been emailed and sent home with students. Please make sure your student brings the proper paperwork and payment amount on this date.
