The week of March 6th kicks off our largest PTA fundraising event of the school year. We are partnering with the APEX Leadership Team as they visit our school, share lessons in the classrooms, and celebrate our event with an exciting Fun Run scheduled for Thursday, March 16th. APEX does an incredible job motivating students to be leaders in their school community and they have a lot of fun too. Keep a look out for information over the next two weeks regarding APEX Leadership.

The Auburn School District begins our annual food drive on March 13th. The food drive runs for two weeks and is a great way to support families in our community that may be less fortunate, supporting this basic need. More information about the food drive is coming soon.

Consistent school attendance is important for student success at school. Please help your child be at school on time every day. If your child needs to be absent due to illness, appointments that cannot be scheduled outside of the school day, or other necessary reasons, please notify our office as soon as possible. Here is some information about school attendance, including 10 tips (scroll down to the end). If you are struggling with any barriers for school attendance, please let your child’s teacher know or reach out directly to our family engagement liaison, Rasha Alsammarraie. We appreciate your partnership as we help our students reach their full potential.

The ASD is hosting a Hiring Fair from 9 a.m. to noon, March 25 at Auburn High School, 711 East Main Street. We are hiring teachers, bus drivers, custodians, para educators and more. Some positions will be interviewed and hired at the event. We would love to talk to you, your neighbors, family members and friends about working with us.
