Family Communication
October 28, 2022
Hello Families,
Early November means the end of the first academic quarter of the school year. Our staff works hard to support students as we near the end of a grading period. Don’t hesitate to contact your child’s teacher if you have questions or concerns about your child’s performance. We are here to help!
The last two weeks of school have been very busy! Here are a few highlights:
Great ShakeOut drill at 10:20 a.m. October 20th at all of our schools
School Boundary Discussion group, more information HERE
Trunk-or-Treat at Elger Bay and Stanwood elementaries tonight
SHS Athletic Hall of Fame class of 2022 induction, meet them HERE
SHS Student Lizbeth Medina was awarded Snohomish County STEM Shining Star
Rick Rizzs helped award senior Hazel Johnson a $5,000 college scholarship
We look forward to a solid second quarter in and out of the classroom.
Halloween Celebrations at our Schools
We know some students and families are excited to celebrate Halloween on Monday. Several events took place this week and may continue into next week, including a trunk-or-treat event Monday at Stanwood High for kids in fifth grade and younger. We ask that students and families keep safety in mind if they dress up at school. We look for students to be easily identifiable, even when wearing a costume. We also ask that no look-alike weapons be brought to school. We want to ensure a safe and fun learning environment on Halloween. I appreciate your cooperation.
