Halloween Celebrations at our Schools
We know some students and families are excited to celebrate Halloween on Monday. Several events took place this week and may continue into next week, including a trunk-or-treat event Monday at Stanwood High for kids in fifth grade and younger. We ask that students and families keep safety in mind if they dress up at school. We look for students to be easily identifiable, even when wearing a costume. We also ask that no look-alike weapons be brought to school. We want to ensure a safe and fun learning environment on Halloween. I appreciate your cooperation.
We Want You to Get Our Calls!
It may be fall, but we want to be sure you receive our calls about important school information, including when inclement weather impacts school. Please help us by keeping your emergency contact information current in Skyward Family Access.
Your contact information, including your phone numbers and email addresses, are synched with the School Messenger notification system we use to send out emails and phone calls in emergencies.
Another great way to receive notifications is to sign up for FlashAlert. This is the system that the media uses to create the “crawl” on TV stations for regional school districts. The FlashAlert app is available free for iPhone or Android mobile devices. Visit https://www.flashalert.net/id/StanwoodSD to receive notifications of closures or late starts.
