Alcova Elementary School
May 19, 2023
Dear Alcova Community,
As we near the end of another remarkable school year, we want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude and appreciation for the support and collaboration we have received from each and every one of you. Together, we have shown adaptability and a commitment to the success and well-being of the students at Alcova.
Our students have truly shone brightly throughout this school year. Their enthusiasm and curiosity to learn have been nothing short of inspiring. We have witnessed their academic achievements, artistic expressions, and personal growth.
We owe tremendous gratitude to our exceptional teachers and staff who have poured their hearts into nurturing our students' intellectual and emotional development. Their passion for teaching and dedication to their craft has created an environment for students to reach their highest potential.
We would also like to thank our parents and guardians who have been partners in their children's education. Your involvement, guidance, and encouragement have played an important role in our students' growth and success. Whether helping with homework, attending parent-teacher conferences, or supporting afterschool events, your active
engagement has made a significant difference in creating a thriving and inclusive community.
I want to thank you for welcoming me as the new principal in the middle of the school year with open arms. I have felt supported by the students, staff, and parents from day one. You have entrusted my leadership with guiding the Alcova community, and I am proud to take that role. As this school year ends, I am already filled with excitement and anticipation for what lies ahead. The staff remains committed to providing high-quality education and opportunities for our students to explore their passions, develop their talents, and make a positive impact in the world.
As we embark on a well-deserved summer break, we extend our warmest wishes to each and every one of you. May you find joy and relaxation during this time, and may our shared commitment to education and community continue to thrive in the years to come.
Your Principal,
Jacquetta Baldwin

"Thank you to all the parents and students who came out for the Alcova's 2023 Kickball tournament. It was an amazing day filled with laughter, friendly competition, and lots of fun. We couldn't have done it without all of you!
We saw some incredible performances and teamwork from all the teams, and we're so proud of everyone who participated. From the thrilling comebacks to the nail-biting finishes, it was an unforgettable event.

Dacula Middle Rising 6th Grade Fine Arts Signup and Summer Camp Information
Hello Falcon Families,
As we begin the last month of school, we wanted to let all of our Rising 6th grade families know that the 2023-24 Connections and Fine Arts sign up deadline has been extended! This means that if your current 5th grader missed the initial deadline in March, they still have the opportunity to do this survey now. This also applies to our Fine Arts program sign ups for band, chorus, and orchestra.
We are also excited to announce our DMS Discover 6 Summer Camp dates! Scheduled for July 19 & 20, attendees will engage in a summer camp experience that familiarizes him/her with Dacula Middle School while interacting with DMS teachers and other rising 6th graders. Over the course of 2 days, students will attend different sessions ranging from science experiments to art and literacy activities.
