Message From Dr. Corey Ray, Principal
It has been great to have our students, faculty, and staff back in the building. While I’m sure we are disappointed with the fact that we are not yet back to pre-pandemic days, our students are happy to be back in school with a faculty and staff who love them and keep them safe.
Our procedures within the building are essentially a carbon copy of our procedures from last year. Students remain within their cohort throughout the day. Everyone is required to mask in the hallway. Students and faculty are masked in special area classrooms, Title 1 classrooms, and special education classrooms. Students mask while they wait in line for their lunch and in non-cohort situations such as bussing. Students are not masking while they are in their classroom, eating lunch, or participating in physical activity such as recess or physical education.
Quarantines are still in effect for positive Covid-19 individuals and close contacts who are not vaccinated. Should your child be designated as a close contact with a positive Covid-19 individual while at school, I will be contacting you with your child’s quarantine length and safe return to school information. If you have any questions about this process or any procedures within the building, please feel free to contact me at any time.
The faculty and staff at Wyman are looking forward to having a great year with your child. The Wyman Family will be resilient regardless of the challenges we may ecounter over the course of the year. We look forward to working with you to keep your child safe, happy, and excited about learning
Sincerely,
Corey Ray, Ed.D.
