North Glendale Family Update

August 2, 2020

Good afternoon!

Last Wednesday, about 300 of us gathered online to talk through questions regarding our decision to move to the All Students Online Only model, which we will use for the first 9 weeks of school.

My thanks for the questions that were submitted before, during and after the webinar. I have tried to synthesize the questions into a document, with answers, and I plan to use this as our working document of Q and A. (I'm not crazy about the format but I will figure out a way to make it easier to navigate!). Please note if there is not an answer posted, I am working on it.

If you missed the webinar, we went for about 46 minutes and you can view it at this YouTube link.

More details are unfolding everyday and I will do all I can to get you timely and accurate information and resources.

In partnership,

Jennifer Sisul

Meet Ups with Mrs. Sisul!

I am going to begin offering times to "socially-distantly" meet as many NG kids (and their adults!) as possible. Even though we are starting the school year online we are still the NG family! I will continue to post sign ups every Sunday, even after school starts. If you would prefer I come to you, I am happy to do so! Just reach out separately and we will find a time.

Sign Ups for the Week of August 10

In order to accommodate as many kids as possible, the visits will be short and sweet and will probably include the obligatory popsicle and selfie!

So, what about classlists?

We know this is such an important part of the summer! However, due to all the uncertainty of who may opt in or out of online learning, we are holding classlists until the week of August 17th.

Additional Social-Emotional Supports

The social, emotional, and mental health of our students, parents, and families is a priority of the Kirkwood School District. There are many resources to share with families during the summer months that can help parents and students navigate COVID-19
