SRES CLDE Families Bake Together with Reading

The Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education (CLDE) department at Springs Ranch elementary coordinated a literacy project for students and families. Students were provided the book, "If You Give a Moose a Muffin" (either English or Spanish version) along with a muffin tin, oven mitt, and muffin mix. Families read the story and baked muffins together! Check out some of the great photos submitted. The goal of the project was to engage students and their families to read together and increase literacy at home. Thank you to Linda Hagedorn for putting this together!

Congratulations to Horizon for making it into the Top 3 for the Gazette's Best of the Springs! On April 25th, the Gazette will hold a virtual event to reveal the winner in the category of Best Middle School. This is a well deserved award to our middle school that has a phenomenal culture with some of the best test scores in District 49. Good Luck!
