Craft Fair Volunteer Opportunities Nov. 16 - 18th
This email is being sent to all Marching and Symphonic Band. Volunteer opportunities are for everyone so they can earn money for their band accounts.
The Parkway South Spirit of '76 Band Boosters are hosting the 33rd Annual Arts and Crafts fair November 17th (9 am to 4 pm) and 18th (10 am to 4 pm) at Parkway South High School. This popular, community event is the single, biggest fundraiser for our band. Parents and band members - Don't miss this opportunity to raise money for your accounts! You will earn money for each hour worked at the Craft Fair. Money earned can be applied to the Chicago trip in April and 2019 band fees.
Craft Fair Sign-ups Are Now Open
We want to make sure everyone has an opportunity to sign up for a shifts from October 29 – November 4. Please use the following guidelines while signing up.
- Parents/Guardians of band students sign up for 2 adult shifts per student. Be sure to use the Adult Sign-Ups link http://signup.com/go/gSKGEvs and please enter the parents name on this link
- Band Students sign up for 3 shifts each student. Be sure band students use the Student Sign-up link and please enter the student's name on this linkhttp://signup.com/go/skhsOcE
- Craft Fair Chairs and Co Chairs – Please do not sign up using the sign up links below. You will track your time separately.
Beginning November 4, open sign ups begin. Parents/Guardians and Students can sign-up for as many shifts as they would like to work. Please make sure your shifts do not conflict with another shift at the same time and day.
Hospitality Co Chair Needed - We are looking for a hospitality Co Chair to work along with Jessica Teska. The hospitality room provides a place for crafters to have coffee, snacks, a place to take a break and will sit at a crafter's booth if they need a break. Marketing the Craft Fair - Craft Fair yard signs and date stickers are in! On my walkway there is a black tub (between 2 knights) that will have yard signs, stakes and date stickers. Freshman families please take a yard sign and a stake. Families that have yard signs already, please take the date stickers (you will need 2 of each). My address is 1124 Hollyberry Drive.
Baked Goods Donations Needed for Craft Fair's Patriot Pantry. The Patriot Pantry is successful each year in adding to the Craft Fairs profits. Please feel free to share this link for any friends or family members who would like to donate baked goods craft fair weekend.

Craft Fair Job Descriptions
- Set up/Gym Tarp/Booth Layout – Lay out gym tarp, identify vendor booths, set up tables and chairs
- Kitchen – Food Prep, deliver lunch orders to crafters, take orders from shoppers, collect money
- Parking Lot Duty – Direct Crafters to park for unloading merchandise and parking during the craft fair set up hours
- Vendor Unloading – Helping crafters unload their merchandise to their booth location
- Donut Pick-up - Pick up Donuts from Krispy Kreme and deliver to the high school
- Hospitality – Monitor the hospitality room for crafters, provide crafters a break if needed, visit crafters to make sure they have what they need.
- Patriot Pantry – Sell baked goods donated by band members
- Raffle - Request donations from crafters, decorate crafter display donations, collect raffle money from shoppers
- Take Down/Pack – Help Vendors move merchandise to their vehicles, roll up tarp, take down booths, take down tables/chairs, clean.
- Information – Greet Shoppers, provide directions, hand out maps and program
