The Weekly Hoot
May 14-20, 2018
Greetings All -
Happy Friday! It's been a busy day with finishing up SLOs and the Movin' On Up Dance tonight! As always, May is the busiest month of the year at school, but it seems so much more so now that testing has been put into the mix!
I want to thank every single person in this school for an outstanding week of tutoring and testing. There is no way that these kiddos could be any more prepared than they are. You are truly all extraordinary educators and I am proud to call you "mine." :)
Don't forget that Wednesday at 3:00 PM is the final time for a 40 Book challenge sheet to be turned into the teacher. We will be finalizing the list on Thursday morning so that we can get accurate numbers to Horseshoe Junction. There won't be a 4th nine weeks extra recess party. Hopefully all of the students who would have made that have also made it to the big party.
Also, please don't forget to do the end of the year survey. When I looked at it last, which was last night, only 10 people had responded.
I want to formally congratulate our returning CLL, Connie Wetuski. Connie will continue in her job as the Collaborative Learning Leader as we head into our next grant. Our three CLFs, Kim Ross, Dana Wagner, and Amy Keally, will also be returning in those roles, and...we have added a 4th CLF to the mix! Amanda Sechelski will be moving from Kindergarten to 2nd grade in order to be the CLF for the 1st and 2nd grade crew!! Yes, we will have to move a 2nd grade teacher down to Kindergarten...and that second grade teacher is Lynn Imhoff. Lynn started out in kindergarten at the beginning of her teaching career and is excited to be going back.
Please make sure you are reading your emails on a twice daily basis because things are getting hectic and that is the best way for me to communicate with you from now on.
Everyone have a great week and a very happy Mother's Day! Go out and enjoy yourselves! As I type this, I hear a wonderful Movin' On Up Dance going on in the cafeteria. When it all boils down to it, even at the end of May, it is still all about the kiddos, isn't it?
Love to all,
Marcy
