5th Grade Awards Assembly

On Wednesday, May 29th at 8am, we will host the 5th Grade Awards Ceremony. This is a formal occasion like the symphony, so nicer clothes are an expectation. We invite family members to come and celebrate all of the accomplishments our students have had throughout the year. You may preregister at:

End of Year Party

Our End of Year Party will be held at Strikz on May 29th, from 11-2. Students will bowl, have a chance to play laser tag and video games. A pizza lunch will be provided.

Students will receive a $10 card to play video games. If your child would like to bring extra money, please understand that your child must keep up with it themselves. We will not be responsible for any losses.

Permission forms are required for this trip. If you haven't sent your child's in yet, please send it Tuesday! You can print another copy off if your child can't find theirs.

Volunteer Needed - End of Year Party!

We are looking for volunteers to help our End of the Year Party at Strikz run smoothly. If you can volunteer an hour or so of your time, please check out this Sign Up Genius! Thanks!

5th Grade Farewell Walk

On May 30th our 5th grade students will take a traditional farewell walk through the school beginning at 2:30. They'll walk through all of Smith as the K-4 students cheer them on. The walk will end as the students exit the 3rd-5th dismissal doors and are greeted by parents making a "tunnel" outside of the school. If you would like to participate in this tradition, please be outside the school on the 3-5 pick-up side by 2:30. You can take pictures and are free to take your child home after the farewell walk. Please do not park in the pick up loop. See you there!

Egg Drop

The kids worked hard this week designing a contraption that they HOPED would protect their egg! We had lots of successes, some cracked eggs, and a lot of fun!

We got a little wet!
