Shout Outs
- Dr. Reyna for hosting his "Make and Take" professional development last Saturday. There were so many paraprofessionals and professional staff that attended this great PD. Attendees Alvarez, Barrera-Gresham, Chavoya, Dabney, Diez, Hill, Kutiev, Maciel, Martinez, Matinrazm, Morales, Reyna, Sandoval, Stewart, Tandon, Tobon, Valdez, Williamson, Dennis, Morales, Sanchez, D. Rodriquez, L. Lopez and Riley
- Ms. Nyan, Ms. Amador, Ms. Pitrucha, Ms. Monroy, and Ms. V. Rodriquez for attending the Girl's Conference with some of our 3rd and 4th grade students at Cummings Elementary. The staff and girls had a great time.
- Mr. Endsley for working diligently to get the necessary items for the Kingsmen Group.

I just wanted to thank the following;
1) Mrs. Rodriguez, you have a wonderful group of young people. Obviously your classroom management skills work.
2) Mrs. Polk, thank you for your help in the cafeteria.
3) Mrs. Castillo. What can I say beyond thank you.
4) Mrs. Toney, you have a good group of educators, keep them.

4th grade teachers for completing their growth chart and setting goals with their students
3rd grade teachers for constantly collaborating to make sure their students do well on STAAR
ILT and specialist for adding additional groups and pushing in classrooms
Belinda for working with the Y.O.L.O mentors. We need additional men to support mentors as they work with the boys
Ms. Upshaw for creating a growth chart for 4th grade teachers to use to track their students
Ms. DeSauto for going shopping and attending the textbook meeting
Ms. Nyan for taking minutes in an ARD yesterday
Ms. Purdy for staying on top of schedules and small groups for STAAR
Teachers for getting progress reports done on time.
Ms. Solis and her committee (Ms. Moran and Ms. V. Rodriquez for organizing a great Volunteer Appreciation breakfast. Our parent really enjoyed it.
Ms. Cheng for pulling some of the challenging students out of Ms. Deal's class when the sub was having a difficult time.
On Time Club - You may wear jeans and a shirt of your choice on Wednesday. Please pick up pass.

Holmquist Humming bird Staff of the Week
Amy Walker was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania and she is number 8 out of 9 children. She is also the mother of 3 children ages 28, 21, and 20. Her family has had family reunions for 82 years ay the same time every year. She is a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Every day that God wakes her up she is grateful. She enjoys working at Holmquist because of the new challenge. She is motivated by her kids and they keep her going. She was a single mom and is proud of the adults they have become. Her word is strength.
