YOUR OPINION MATTERS-SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON OUR FEE SURVEY
Thank you to all of the parents who attended our virtual School Council Meeting on Monday, January 27. We value the open discussions and feedback that you provide us to ensure that we do our best to meet the needs of our FRH families. Your input is very important to us in understanding your perspectives on school fees.
If you were unable to attend, we would still like to hear from you! We are collecting feedback on our proposed fee schedule for the 2021-2022 school year. Please click here to learn more about fees and to fill out the survey. We will summarize your feedback and share the results at our next School Council meeting on March 17.
School Council Updates and Information
Our next School Council meeting will be on March 17, 2021, at 6 pm virtually.

At the March meeting, we will be having a follow up conversation around school fees.
Please email general.frh@eips.ca to let the office know if you are planning to attend so we send you a link.

Learning & being curious together at FRH - The Seven Sacred Teachings
While many Indigenous communities use the Seven Sacred Teachings or the Grandfather teachings as a way to pass on culture & important characteristics, not all do. However, we thought we would begin to share them with our FRH community as they will sound familiar to many of you even if you’re not from one of those communities. They are well-known ideals that many groups rely on and teach from.
These cornerstones of community and individual behaviour towards others are taught in hopes of carrying these teachings with you in order to help communities survive and thrive. The first one we’d like to share with you is that of the bear who teaches us courage. This refers to having the mental & moral strength to overcome our fears and show bravery, which in turn will allow us to reach our potential in life. We can find many examples of this in our everyday lives if we stop to look and take time to reflect.
Summer School (for grade 9 students)
Above is our district virtual poster for summer school. Historically we have only offered CALM 20 and Phys. Ed 10 to our grade 9’s, however, this summer we are going to offer a new math course for students transitioning to high school.
The course is Math 15 – Competencies in Math.
Registrations open Tuesday, March 16.
