The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program recognizes public and private elementary, middle, and high schools based on their overall academic excellence or progress in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups. Every year the U. S. Department of Education seeks out and celebrates great American schools, schools demonstrating that all students can achieve to high levels. The National Blue Ribbon School award affirms the hard work of students, educators, families at Robinwood, and the entire District to ensure that all of our students receive a rigorous academic and inclusive educational experience.

The Robinwood Third Graders learned about the importance of Veterans and their service to our country in preparation for writing letters to veterans. As a result, 68 veterans in The Villages, Florida will be receiving letters of appreciation for their service this week The students enjoyed decorating the cards and writing their letters, and are hoping to receive answers to their many questions for the veterans. Please click here for pictures

The 3rd Graders have received some feedback already from some of the veterans who have received the cards. One even emailed some pictures from his time in the Navy. The students have been so excited to hear that the veterans appreciate their cards and it's really making an impact on the kids too!

The art room is looking for donations of paper towel and toilet paper tubes! They are used for everything from stamping to building sculptures! Please save your tubes and have your child bring them to Mrs. Valens or Mrs. Gengler. We would greatly appreciate it!

Wisconsin weather is upon us! Please make sure your son/daughter is dressed appropriately for outdoor recess. Coats and hats are necessary for the impending cold weather. However, this being Wisconsin, it can become warm and sunny by noontime. Please remind your child if they choose to remove their jacket during recess they are to be tied around their waist and not left on the playground. The decision to have an outdoor or indoor recess is based on both the wind speed and temperature at 11:30 am. If it is an outside recess day, all students must go outdoors. Please label your child's coat, hat & mittens with their name.

In order to showcase the many cultures that make up our Robinwood Family, we will again be displaying a Cultural Tree in the lobby outside of the library. We are asking interested families to donate a decoration to be placed on the tree. This item can be either purchased or handmade. It should however depict a part of your culture or native country. Please place any decorations in a bag with a note as to what holiday and country they represent. We will then label the items with a tag stating that information. These items will not be returned, they will be kept to be reused in following years.

Also, in keeping the spirit of giving alive, we will be having a New Hat and Glove/Mitten Drive. The items can be for children or adults. When the drive is over we will donate them to needy families in our community. You may begin to bring in your items after the Thanksgiving Break (Tuesday, November 30th up until December 16th.The items can be sent with your child or dropped off in the office.

Thank you for helping us continue our tradition!

As we continue to require masks for students, please remember the following:

  • It’s a good idea to wash your child’s mask frequently, ideally daily if possible.

  • Please ensure that your child has a few masks to rotate throughout the average school week

  • Please send an extra mask in your child’s backpack in the event they need another mask

  • When choosing masks for your child, please look for masks that have 2 or more layers of breathable fabric, cover their nose and mouth, fit snugly across the sides of their face, and don’t have gaps.

If you need help with getting additional masks, please contact the school’s main office.

Our FPS Food Service Department is currently experiencing a number of changes in food supply offerings due to shortages or certain items. If you have a child that has certain dietary needs or restrictions, please review the online Nutrislice menu offerings for your building more closely so you can be aware of any food items that may have been swapped. Our Food Service staff is updating the menu daily with changes and they expect regular updates and food replacements for the foreseeable future.

Click here to see pictures of the items in our lost and found. We will be purging lost and found items more often so it’s important for children to keep close tabs on their belongings. It is also suggested that if possible, student items be labeled with the first and last name on it so that we can get it back to the student if it becomes lost. All items not picked up after 2 weeks will be donated.

ANY absence including leaving early and arriving late are reported on a google form. HERE is the link to report absences. It would be a good idea to bookmark this link for your convenience.
