Houston said he is looking foward to spending time with family and traveling in the future. He also said he is proud of his profession and the people with whom he has worked at SPS.

Superintendent's Report

During her board report, Dr. April Grace congratulated Shawnee High School Wrestling for winning the Chickasha High School Classic this weekend. She also commended the SHS Girls and Boys Swim Teams for winning the Suburban Conference Championship and Runner-up, respectively. She also explained that some baskets and items given to each board member were in honor of the recently ended Board Appreciation Month. The items included notes of thanks from each school site for the board members' service to the district.

Dr. Grace also gave time to Dr. Teresa Wilkerson, assistant superintendent, who presented information on the various ways SPS students are attending school in 2020-2021. In the first semester, approximately 23% of SPS students attended school in some type of virtual capacity. In the current semester, that percentage has changed to about 19%.
