Normangee MS Family Newsletter
November 2, 2022
From Mr. Wingfield
Hard to believe we are wrapping up the second 6 weeks this week. It is so important that students make sure they finish all their assignments this week so that they can get credit.
It is so much easier for our teachers when they get assignments on time and not all at once at the end of the grading period. Please check your students grades and remind them to get everything turned in as soon as possible.
November is National Veterans and Military Family Month. A huge shout out to all those who have served our country and provided the freedoms we share today! Thank you for your Service!!
NISD will celebrating our veterans during a Veterans day Ceremony on November 11.
Congrats to our Lady Panther Volleyball Team for winning their bi-district match on Tuesday. They will play again tonight against Deweyville in Cleveland at 6:30. Good Luck Ladies!!
Congrats to our MS Fall sports, Football and Volleyball, on completing their winning seasons this week. Volleyball 7th grade finished 9-6 and 8th grade finished at 11-5. Our MS Football team completed their season last night in a hard fought victory against Leon. These young men faced a lot of adversity this year and never quit playing hard. I am very proud of them and all our student athletes. Basketball Season will begin next week. Schedules for Girls and Boys basketball are below. Mondays scheduled game in Mumford has been moved to Thursday.
Please check below for new information for REMIND for MS Teachers. Along with parent portal, REMIND can be used to get information on assignments in your students classes. I am receiving these from teachers little by little so all teachers may not be listed below.
If there is any other information you would like to receive through the MS Newsletter, please feel free to email me at jwingfield@normangeeisd.org
As always, if I can help in any way please let me know.
Jared Wingfield

A Message from Officer Mordecai and Administration
From Mrs. Martin
The Capturing Kids Heart focus for November will be Teamwork
What is Teamwork?
Teamwork is the ability to work in unity with others towards a common goal. For us to learn how to become team players, it is important that we learn to listen, encourage our peers, and allow and invite others to contribute their talents and skills.
Why focus on Teamwork?
- Teamwork improves communication: Teamwork helps us improves our verbal and non-verbal communication skills, conveying that we care and a relevant message.
- Teamwork builds interpersonal awareness: Growing a great team requires us to first build strong relationships through better understanding ourselves and others.
- Teamwork celebrates diversity. Teamwork thrives from diverse ideas that come from a mixture of different genders, cultures, expertise, experience, and problem-solving approaches.
Our Student of the Month will be a student that represents the quality of Teamwork; someone that models gratefulness, acknowledges positive moments, and affirms the positive actions of other students and teachers.
From the Bus Barn
Please remind your students about continuing to show proper behavior on the buses. We want the bus ride home to reflect the same level of respect we expect in the school building. Disruptive behavior can distract our bus drivers and we want to make sure everyone behaves appropriately and everyone gets home safely.
Thanks for your support
