Read Across America Week
Read Across America is an annual event celebrated on or near March 2nd, which is the birthday of children's author Dr. Seuss. It is a nationwide event created by the National Education Association (NEA) in 1997 to promote literacy and encourage a love of reading among children.
Our elementary schools will celebrate with special days and events. Don't miss out on fun pictures and videos we'll post on social media throughout the week. Did you know reading to your child for 5-10 minutes every night can improve their performance in school and ensure they graduate high school? Let's make reading a priority at both home and school!
The Suesville website offers all kinds of resources for exploration, activities, games, and videos. Check it out!
